Getting diagnosed is the easy bit to find help with. Staying well looked after afterwards is not.

Most providers explain how they assess ADHD. Very few explain what happens in the years that follow.

We are not here to sell you prescriptions. We are here to look after your treatment properly, for as long as you need us.

Is this right for you?

Yes, if your ADHD care is with us and your dose is stable.

That means either of the following applies to you.

Assessed by Attention to Health

You completed your assessment and treatment pathway with us.

Transferred your care to us

You were diagnosed by the NHS or another provider and have moved your ongoing ADHD care to us.

Still finding the right dose? That is titration. We will get you through that first.

What happens each month?

01

You receive a short questionnaire

Around 10 yes or no questions. It takes about two minutes.

02

Tell us if anything important has changed

For example, new medication, a health change or new side effects.

03

A clinician reviews anything that needs attention

If you answer yes, we ask for more detail so it can be looked at properly.

04

Your prescription is issued where clinically appropriate

The monthly check is what allows us to monitor you safely without requiring an appointment every month.

It goes directly to ITH Pharmacy.

2 ITH Pharmacy contacts you

You receive an email when your prescription is ready.

3 You pay for your medication

This is separate from the £30 monthly service fee.

4 Your medication is delivered

ITH Pharmacy arranges fulfilment and delivery.

Your six-monthly review

Twice a year, you have a video appointment with a prescribing clinician. These happen whether or not anything is wrong.

What we check at each review
  • Your symptoms
  • How well your medication is working
  • Side effects
  • Blood pressure, pulse and weight
  • Changes to your physical or mental health
  • Any new medications
  • Whether your treatment is still right for you

We can also cover psychoeducation and goal-based support if you want it.

This follows national guidance. NICE NG87 recommends six-monthly monitoring of blood pressure, pulse and weight for adults taking ADHD medication, with a full medication review at least annually.

What we need from you

1

Complete your monthly questionnaire.

2

Attend your six-monthly reviews.

3

Tell us if something important changes.

What should I always tell you about?
A new medication, pregnancy or planning a pregnancy, a hospital admission, significant side effects, or a new diagnosis. Not sure if it counts? Tell us anyway.

Every prescription is a clinical decision.

Being on this service does not automatically mean medication is prescribed. A prescribing clinician reviews each prescription to check it is still safe and appropriate for you.

If we have a concern, we will explain it, talk it through with you and agree what happens next.

Frequently asked questions

Is the £30 the cost of my medication?
No. The £30 covers the clinical work behind your treatment. ITH Pharmacy charges you separately for the medication itself, and the cost depends on your medication and dose.
How often will I need an appointment?
Twice a year. In between, the monthly questionnaire replaces the appointment you would otherwise need every time a prescription is due.
My GP will not take over my prescribing. Can you help?
Yes. This is exactly what the service is for. Some GPs cannot or will not enter a shared care arrangement, which can leave people who are stable on medication with nowhere to go. You can stay with us instead.
Can I join if the NHS or another provider diagnosed me?
Yes. Move your ongoing ADHD care to us first, starting with a transfer of care consultation. Once your care is with us and your dose is stable, you can join.
Am I guaranteed a prescription every month?
No. A prescribing clinician reviews each prescription to check it is still safe and appropriate. If there is a concern, we will discuss it with you.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time. There is no minimum contract and no cancellation fee.
What if something changes between reviews?
Get in touch. Most things can be sorted without an appointment. If a longer clinical conversation is needed, we will explain why and tell you the cost first.
How long does the monthly questionnaire take?
About two minutes. It is around 10 yes or no questions.
Do I need to be on medication to use this service?
Yes. This service is for people taking ADHD medication who need ongoing prescribing and monitoring. If you are not taking medication, Attention to Health has other ways to support you.
